THE HUMAN BEHIND THE SYSTEM.

DESIGNER. ARTIST. SYSTEM BUILDER.

Between the
physical and
the possible.

Bora Somunoğlu is a multidisciplinary designer, new media artist and creative software developer based in Ankara, Türkiye. A graduate of Bilkent University’s Interior Architecture and Environmental Design programme, he brings spatial thinking and real-time computation together in immersive and generative experiences.

Using tools like TouchDesigner and Unreal Engine, he builds real time systems that respond to data, movement, and interaction. His work focuses on creating living visuals that change in every moment rather than fixed compositions. He has presented his work internationally, including a talk at the TouchDesigner Event in Tokyo, and exhibited in immersive environments such as the FLOW stage at CerModern and his solo exhibition FLUX Nothing You See Exists Twice. Alongside his practice, he teaches workshops and lectures on generative design and interactive systems, encouraging others to develop their own creative language through technology. His work explores the tension between control and chaos, physical and digital, aiming to create experiences that question how reality is perceived and constructed. He is available for commissioned artworks, creative software and TouchDesigner development, projection mapping content, interactive installations, immersive exhibition design and trade fair or brand experiences. He welcomes project enquiries from curators, cultural institutions, agencies and brands in Turkish or English.
